Deanna and Alex

Last weekend I had an engagement session with Deanna and Alex. The two of them are high school sweethearts. Can we all say awwww. I seriously said awwww, it was totally deserved because they are such a cute couple!! Alex goes to NIU, which is where I went to college, so we had lots to chat about!
This session was super fun. I love shooting people in and around older buildings, which is what we did a lot of the second half of the session.
Alex and Deanna were really nice and super great to work with!

The Carter's

Last week I had a family portrait session with the Carter's. Two challenges, a curious 2 year old and a slightly hyper dog. We were all super patient though, and I think I came up with some really nice photos for the Carter's.

The Renner's

About four ago my hudband and I bought our cat, Lois, from an organization called Angel's Wish. Angel's Wish has yearly auctions to raise money for their facility. This year I donated a portrait session to be auctioned off. The Renner family, who also have a cat from Angel's Wish, wont the auction. We did the session at the Union on probably the windiest day ever. It was crazy, we were right at the lake so the wind was just blowing so hard off the water. It was so windy it was even hard to hear each other. This was a definite challenge!! They brought their super cute son with for the photos, who is one day younger than my daughter.
The Renner's were a great family, and super fun to shoot!

Dana and Adam

Finally, I am done editing Dana and Adam's wedding!! I took soooo many photos at their wedding, editing felt like forever. I am excited to get their images up. There wedding was one of the awesomest I have ever been to. Adam and Dana were extremely photogenic as well as their whole wedding party. A bunch of really good looking people. Their wedding was at Adam's parent's house out in the country in Columbus. The ceremony was outside infront of a heart shaped pond. Guests and the wedding party were shuttled around the grounds in golf carts. Everyone got ready in the groom's parent's house, which looked like it was straight out of a better homes and gardens magazine. After the ceremony the couple had me take a gigantic photo of all the people that were there, which was about 200. I was a bit nervous for this photo, since it was of course the largest group I have ever shot.
The dinner took place up the hill from the ceremony in a huge tent. They had really good food, as well as an awesome desert buffet. Dana and Adam had a band play in the barn on the property. All of the locations for the wedding were all prepared (painted, built, arranged) by the family and friend's of the couple. The decorations were fall inspired, which were really awesome!! The barn had a really cool loft, which made for some great photos!!
There was so much thought and work put into this wedding, which made it really special.

The Pence's

A few weeks back I took photos for my good kirstie and her husband alex. These two, who are having a girl!, are two of the most kind, loving people that I have ever met. They are going to make awesome parents. I am excited for baby pence to arrive.

Lindsay and Crystal

A few weeks back Lindsay emailed me to set up a photo session for her and her partner Crystal. The two live in Chicago and came back to Madison to have their commitment ceremony. They hired a photographer who didn't do a great job, so they hired me to take post wedding, engagement style photos of the two of them. We went to Centennial for the shoot. Lindsay and Crystal were super nice, and fun to shoot.

Keaten

A good friend of mine, Kori, had been wanting photos of her kids Beckham and Keaten for sooo long. So finally we set up a time to do them. These are just 2 out of the set. Beckham, the younger of the two, who by the way is a super cute baby, was failing his arms the whole time I was shooting. So most of the time he looks like a crazy bird baby. Funny!
